Read it all. Sparse thin hair/coat will double and triple in length

Wolly, thin coats do not achieve great length. It is a neat site chock full of info, growth chart too!

A puppy whose coat appears sparse or thin will, as an adult, have a thick, long coat of the correct fine silky, glossy texture. This coat’s growth is like a human’s hair, in that it is born with very little but by adulthood has an abundance of hair, the quantity having doubled and redoubled all during puppyhoor childhood). Both colors will be totally clear.

If you reread the article, the author said puppies with only one testicle are "inbred", not that they aren't purebred. I think the author meant that since cryptochordism is genetic, a puppy with only one testicle is a red flag that you are not dealing with a reputable breeder. Males with only one testicle or who produce a cryptochord puppy should not be bred..

I had no idea Yorkies were so commonly mixed with Chihuahuas. That explains some of the huge ears I see in pictures here.

I know poorly bred Maltese often have Bichon in their background. Bichons are larger so they have less complicated deliveries and produce more puppies, just what greeders want. Those puppies grow up to be supersized (over ten pounds) adults with curly coats, not what their naive owners thought they were getting.
