First let me say I'm so sorry for your loss of Millie. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I would use anything your comfortable using with the new pup. Take baby steps and bring out an item or two and see how you feel. If it's too much put them away and try again later. You will know in your heart if/when it's the right thing to do. Allowing the new pup to use some of Millies things does not mean that you are trying to replace her by any means. There is nothing to feel guilty about by handing some of her things down to the new pup. Losing someone you love dearly is never an easy road to travel and only you can say when the time is right. Laugh when you need to laugh and cry when you need to cry, but always remember the love you shared. |
