Dr. Schultz, professor of immunology at Wisconsin State says that rabies should always be given separately because it causes the most reactions.
Anyway, the only shot that the vet has to give is rabies. They could do that one on the day of the exam and have a tech give DHPP two weeks later without a vet appt. and you'd just pay for the vaccine itself. |
I give my babies their shots myself. I just do it early in the day, so if there is ever a problem, I can get them to the vet. There has never been a problem. We don't have an emergency vet clinic, my vet does have an emergency number to call, but luckily I've never had to use it yet. I take them to the vet yearly for an exam and to get their rabies vaccine.
