Omg Training them NOT to chew cords?

Penny has taken to chewing electrical cords the past few days.

She chewed the end off of an old coffee maker we were going to throw out, so that wasn't such a big deal. It was unplugged and by the back door. We figured she thought we left it there for her.

Now she is going for broke and chewing every wire she can find. She chewed through an extension cord yesterday and must have gotten a pretty good buzz and started barking at the cord.

We tried to pile things around cords to keep her from getting to any more and she made it to a surge protector cord that is quite thick and chewed 1/2 through it in no time flat. It was like she went under my desk, I wondered why she was under there and she had already bitten through the outer coating.

Is there a way to train her not to chew cords? I don't see how we can possibly hide every cord in the house because all the plugs are on her level.

Ideas anyone?
