Seriously, I almost poked my eye out changing my guitar strings once. I have no idea what I was thinking, but it was my first time doing it and instead of taking them off of the tuning pegs properly, I snipped the 6th string (the heavy-est) with wire cutters... I had the guitar neck between my legs, so the string snapped straight up and hit me right on the bridge of my nose (on the side closest to my eye). I was really lucky it didn't hit me IN the eye!
