Then again, today, after coming in from a very long walk, my bed comforter was hanging on the floor and she went right over and urinated on it. I am so frustrated, she is my second yorkie and nothing like my first one. She has been extremely difficult to train and now I cannot understand why she is chosing to urinate on my bed and bed coverings. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about getting rid of her.
I have a maltese that has done the same in the past. Can Lucy get on the bed by herself?

Mine cant get up there & was totally my fault for leaving her on the bed while i answered the phone. I just make sure to leave a puppy pad down in the bedroom and dont have the peeing on the comforter problem anymore, but if my comforter is hanging off the bed-she will pee on it. I think she gets confused...she knows she has to pee ON something, but it also tipped me off that she needed to use pee pads. The part that sucks though is I cannot have any throw rugs at all in the house cuz she'll pee on them.

Since Lucy is only 5 months old, maybe you just need to give her some time & just try to out smart her. If she hasnt done this in the past and its a new thing, maybe she should get evaluated to make sure she isnt having a problem with her urinary tract.

I think it should be expected that a 5 month old yorkie is going to have accidents from time-to-time though.
