I have never come across in person a dog who's barker has been removed. I personally find it a terrible thing to do.

I understand your baby was adopted this way and I am glad to hear there were no complications from the surgery.

Did the breeder explain to you why he/she decided to de-bark a Yorkie and the reasoning behind it all? I just really find this animal cruelty. IMO If one does not want a dog to bark then buy a cat. This by far is no offense to you in the least.

I really hope that breeders or owners out there do not find this to becoming a common practice in de-barking their dogs. With proper training any dog can learn when the proper time to bark is and when to stop on command.
