It took ten days and much stress and worry but our puppy has begun to eat kibble! I had the hardest time finding anything at first that our puppy would eat. (The sleeping and the use of the pee pads was a cinch but somehow coming to our house threw our puppy into an almost starvation mode.) I have not figured out if it was homesickness or being too interested in everything around her but eating was the fartherest thing from her mind. In fact, I had to use NutriCal several times in the first few days. Finally I got her to eat some of a soft scrambled egg I fixed in the microwave. She also ate some chicken then rice then pumpkin all mixed together but it took the full 10 days before she would deign to eat any type of kibble. I kept it out anyway and finally she ate some. I was afraid of low blood sugar because of things I'd read on here so keep an eye on her gums, etc. They should be a nice pink color.
