If you are questioning from a breed standard point of view, the standard for both requires that they not exceed 7 pounds.
Unfortunately, you can get sizes all over the place due to dogs being bred with no regard to the standard that defines the breed. This is a particularly troublesome issue with Yorkies lately--the popularity of the breed has spawned many to jump on the bandwagon and breed any two Yorkies they come across. I would say that because of that, you are going to see more Yorkies that are well over the breed standard. |
