My friends two poms(that's all she ever gets are poms) are about the same weight as my big yorkie, but, she gives them lots of goodies.
As far as shedding, I've held hers with my black tshirt on before, and didn't get any hair on me. She does keep them brushed out though too. They are just adorable little dogs. Kind of barky for me though
