Im considering taking Lucky there. Ive read horible reviews on local vets around my area and i think maybe the SPCA will be a beter place to take Lucky. |
Never heard anything about SPCA but I'm taking Jackson to a low-cost clinic called Spay Now! near my house. I've walked in there and it's very clean, every one is very nice, didn't seem too rushed. The shelter I visit often uses them to neuter and spay all their rescue dogs. The vet there graduated vet school in 2000 and has worked with her own practice, worked with many low-cost clinics, and has experience. I did a lot of research and called around to a ton of vets but it's just SO much money! All the vets around here were between $265-$300.
So the clinic I am taking him to is $65 for the neuter, anesthesia and pain meds for that night. It's $35 to get him microchipped also. And he's having 2-3 baby teeth pulled - don't know how much they're charging for that. I'm extremely nervous about the surgery though but I think I'd be like that no matter where he was going! So it'll probably be a little over $100 total.
