 Congestive Heart Failure
Patty, that is what I needed to hear. That sounds so much like what happened to my boy. When I Googled Congestive Heart Failure it said it usually happens to big dogs - so that threw me off - but that was the closest diagnosis I found. I think the Vet did not want to commit because
she missed it in the morning. She said he was panting so hard she couldn't hear his heart because "he was nervous about being at the vets". That was one of the reasons I took him in. But, I knew in my heart he wouldn't make the day. I just jumped on her boat of wishful thinking.
