I'm so glad it wasn't GME! GME is just aweful and most dogs don't survive it. I'm very sorry she has a liver shunt though

However, liver shunt is NOT a death sentence. Many many dogs have gone through surgery to correct the shunt or have been able to manage it with diet/supplements. Why is she not a candidate for surgery? Is it an internal shunt? You may look into a second opinion with a specialist...many YT members have used Dr. Tobias at University of Tennessee to correct their baby's shunts.
