Ben does not really like baths, he endures them. He doesn't like getting in our pool but he puts up with that too. I made sure to keep showing him over and over how to get to the steps where he can get out or at least stand with his head above water -- just in case, even though he doesn't go out alone.
But give that boy a sprinkler, a hose, even a splash of water and he will go crazy loving it. When we are in the pool, both Ben (my yorkie) and Candy (my Jack Russell) will beg to be splashed. We scoop water and try to throw it high and they both try to get into the water before it falls. They try to catch it in their mouths, to the point we have to cut them off for fear of them actually swallowing too much. If I have the hose on, they will both run through it and it is hard to get anything else watered! They are hilarious. Water is definately their favorite toy! |
