| Does your Yorkie like water? Is it normal for Yorkies to like water? Whenever I give Tobie a bath in the sink he just lays down and acts like he's in his own hot tub. lol. He always follows me into the bathroom when I take a bath and will jump up at the side of the tub like he wants in. lol. Whenever I give my other dogs a bath, their legs go all stiff and they try to get out the entire time. Does anyone else's Yorkie like water?

| My Couver doesn't seem to mind baths... He likes to wade in the river when we take walks. He even once jumped (or fell :P idk) into the river! He jumped into the hot tub at our place as well. He also jumps up on the tub when I am in the shower I was wondering this same thing... are all yorkies like this?

| I wouldn't say Jackson LIKES his baths, but he doesn't mind. He sits pretty still for me the whole time. Also, when I take shower, sometimes he will sit in the bathroom with me and sometimes I see his little tounge licking the side of the shower door (it's a stand up shower only, not a bath) and when I slide open the door, he tries to get in lol And when he goes over to my dad's house, who has a pool, him and my dad's dog run all over top of the pool cover and LOVE to get wet! I'm anxious to see how he is with swimming.

| All three of mine have a serious dislike of baths. I can't figure it out. Warm water, sweet smelling soap, gentle massage, Momma giving them one-on-one 'special' time, door shut to keep out all of the days craziness, big fluffy towel to wrap up in afterwards. What's not to like, right? Boo and Yogi don't like to be wet at all. Yogi will go so far as to not go out onto the grass to potty if it's wet. He'll just do his business on the back porch and come straight back in. But Gracie Ruth LOVES water. She loves to run in the rain, run through the lawn sprinkler, jump into puddles. It simply can't be wet or cold enough for her to say, "Ok, that's it, I'm going in now." Just not bath water. Stalking big game..."A Green Stripped Hose Yellow Lawn Sprinkler" Trying to intimadate the Sprinkler. It soon looses is nerve and 'flees' in the other direction. Waiting for just the right moment to spring in for the kill! "That was fun Momma! Let's do it again tomorrow, ok?"

| Tia and Oliver just love swimming when we're at the lake. They'll swim until they're shivering so hard that they can barely stay afloat. Cooper absolutely hates the water. Abbi (just 6 months old) hasn't been there yet, but I'm thinking she's too small and will get cold too quickly. She doesn't seem to mind her bath though. Michele :-) |

| Silvia doesn't just love water, but she does very well taking a bath. She shakes as if she's cold, no matter the temperature of the water. She will just stand there, looking like a sad little drowned rat, but she'll move her head where I need it to clean her ears and eyes. Off topic, TeresaM: how did you get your pictures to post INSIDE your reply like that?

Thor's Human Donating Member | TeresaM, that is hilarious! Thor won't go outside if there's the slightest indication that it might rain. He's very much a fair weather dog. He doesn't mind running through soaking-wet grass, though. It's all context for him.

| Water dog Daisy likes to fetch. I I throw ball into our lake she will swim out and get it. When we were fishing a loon swam by she was so excited she jumped out of boat into middle of lake and went after loon. I have to tell you she did it twice in one day. Daisy is now 17 years old and she did this at age 15. |

| Ben does not really like baths, he endures them. He doesn't like getting in our pool but he puts up with that too. I made sure to keep showing him over and over how to get to the steps where he can get out or at least stand with his head above water -- just in case, even though he doesn't go out alone. But give that boy a sprinkler, a hose, even a splash of water and he will go crazy loving it. When we are in the pool, both Ben (my yorkie) and Candy (my Jack Russell) will beg to be splashed. We scoop water and try to throw it high and they both try to get into the water before it falls. They try to catch it in their mouths, to the point we have to cut them off for fear of them actually swallowing too much. If I have the hose on, they will both run through it and it is hard to get anything else watered! They are hilarious. Water is definately their favorite toy!

| Bailey loves baths. He comes in the bathroom with me when I take a bath and it's all I can do to keep him from jumping in with me. He loves the water... always has! I say, do you want a bath and he jets to whereever the tub is!!!!

| Baby Chloe use to jump in the pool. She was the only one. It was so funny to watch because she would throw her butt in first and it sort of looked like a cartwheel. I miss her so much. She loved to lay out in the sun with me.

| My boys handle baths pretty well... know what they love though? The POOL!!!! Its almost ready to be opened and bf pumped all the water off the cover and my boys were walking on the cover on saturday. I think they are excited to go swimming again this year! I know I am! Last year it took them awhile to go in, but when they finally got used to it, they were jumping in so much I had to make sure they had lifejackets on whenever they went outside because they usually ended up in the pool!
