I too have heard not to allow your dog to sleep above you in bed, Winston never has tried that, but he does sleep with us, he starts out between us, snuggled up by me, but then moves to the foot of the bed where he has a nice warm fuzzy blanket, but he likes to sleep sideways and really does take up a lot of space for a small dog. It would be better if we had a larger bed...as a matter of fact, I mentioned that to hubby the other day...it would simply allow us more comfortable space to sleep, and I wouldn't have to hang on for dear life!!!
