OK, I aplogize bc I am a TOTAL outsider....I was actually a good friend of merri's son (not the one mentioned in a previous post - there are are like,6 sons....) when we were younger. I was actually googling his name bc I lost his e mail addy and was trying to get ahold of him.....when I stumbled across this. The answer to your question is - she is no longer selling puppies. She passed away 3 months ago. All that stuff about terminal cancer on the auction advertisement was true. Since she got really sick, they all (as in, all chaffins) sold all of the pups (hence the sons auction and dissapearence of the web site) to help with med bills and spend time with her before her death. So, as horrible as all of it was, atleast it's over now. And everyone who hated her so much- there ya go, shes gone!!!
