I just retired from 21 years as an Instructional Assistant in Special Ed. I can so relate to your post. The Admin is usually unaware of what actually goes on in the classrooms. And there is no arguing with them, believe me...I have tried numerous times about various issues, but they don't hear you too well, as they think they know it all.....lol....how untrue that is. They might have the degree, but they certainly don't have the practical know how!
Did you try to hire on as permanent? Where in Cal are you? I am near Bakersfield.
Well, anyway, all that you can do for that kid and the rest, is PRAY for them. It's sad they did what they did. Are you trying to get another job now or what? Good luck to you.
