My girls don't go after the twins either. They just get frightened when one of the boys runs up too them fast, when they are sitting in my lap.
They are curious about the twins and follow them around, but just don't like it when they approach too quickly.
My girls are older, 10 and 13 years, so it's been a long time since they have been around babies. (My youngest neice is 13.)
Maybe Roxie would adjust to Tristan, if she felt safe, in a playpen, and not exlcuded by being put out in the gargage.
