Thank you for those that have replied! I cannot be certain but I THINK it might be something to do with having him on a leash for the past several days while we have been on vacation. He is NEVER on a leash. I completely forgot to bring his harness with us. So today I went and bought a really nice cushioned one. When we tried to put the new harness on him he yelped & yelped when we touched both of his front legs. BUT he jumps on and off of furniture like nothing is wrong. Go figure?? I have examined every inch of Buddy's body (pushed & pulled very gently) and he does not yelp in pain. Then other times we can just reach for him and NOT touch him and he will yelp out!
Like just now he was walking past me on the bed and my computer cord BARELY touched him and he yelped so loud!!
One other thing....he is breathing normally and he is NOT coughing but the first day we were here I did notice that he would cough or gag when on his leash so perhaps his neck/throat is sore from having the leash on.
If all this is still going on tomorrow I plan to find a vet.
