When we first brought Harley home, he slept in his crate. We actually had no problems at all with him and crying unless he needed to go potty. Well during one of my dh business trips, I let him sleep with me (we were both missing daddy) and he has been in the bed ever since! Once daddy got home he put him back in the crate but after two nights of crying every hour he got to come back to the bed! Harley does love his crate, when he wants to get away during the day (we never close the door on him), but at night, he is in the bed. His positioning varies throughout the night but once daddy leaves for work, he always takes over his pillow and lays as close to me as possible! I think as long as everyone in your bed is okay with the decision who cares. Whenever we go spend the night at my parents house, Harley likes to sleep with Granddaddy!
