My dog is currently undergoing testing right now for this exact thing. He is only 7, and the only signs he has are seizures which started this morning, so very low blood glucose levels that shoot back up upon eating, he is losing weight but eating all the time. They have done an endoscope and an ultrasound but being he is only 3.5 pounds that has come back with not a whole lot because he is so tiny.
This just isn't sitting well with me, he is my baby and I am not sure this is whats going on. They have said surgery will buy him some time if this is truly what is going on, however, I am wondering if this is that common in little dogs - they are telling me it isn't.
Mine too is my baby, its been a heck of a week with him at the vet hospital, I cannot imagine my life without the little guy.
