Depends on what is best for YOU and your puppy. Since we are talking about yorkies here (and not great danes, whihc will eventually get too large for a bed to share), and they do not get very big, do you think you can handle a dog taking up most of the room in your bed? Is your significant other okay with this? (yes, they are tiny and do love to sprawl out all over the bed) Do you have a ramp or puppy stair that your dog can get down off the bed if he/she needs or wants to? Do you mind a dog up against you, constricting your room to move during sleep? Do you sleep recklessly and move often? (You could hurt your puppy in your sleep!) Do you mind being licked when your puppy is awake but you may not be ready to be awoken yourself?
These are some questions taht need to be answered. If it is okay with you, and safe for your puppy, I say go for it. I sleep with my Bella and she does love to snuggle and take up most of the bed, but I usually sleep alone and only on occasions do I have my boyfriend over to join. When he does, Bella sleeps right inbetween us or up against one of our sides. |
