I have had yorkies for 12 years and many have slept with us. We have three sleeping with us now, a 12 year old female, a 8 year old female and a 5 year old male. They are not dominant but they are very spoiled.

If my vet jumped on to me like that I would be looking for another vet. I have never crated any of my dogs.
