I think the consensus here is that rawhide chews are bad. Dogs swallow them and can have trouble digesting them. Eddie got one caught on the roof of his mouth one time that caused him to cough. I was glad I was home to remove it.

You might go under the search menu at the top of your screen and type in rawhide for past discussions on the topic.

Some people swear by greenies, but my dog swallows them, too, and I've heard bad things can happen with those as well.

Best thing I've found are nylabones or dentabones.
