That is a very good question and I have thought about that myself. I love to show, although lately I have not been in a position to and I love breeding yorkies but I would not consider myself a true show breeder until I have produced something worthy of showing and winning. My goal is to produce show quality puppies but I know that takes time.
I consider someone a show breeder that has champion dogs and has produced champions dogs. But then if someone buys a show quality dog, has a handler finish it and buys a show quality female to breed to their champion would they be considered a show breeder even if they have not produced anything themselves yet? It will be interesting to know what others think. |
