Pain meds, first and foremost. Don't let your vet talk you out of them. Have a LOT of chews on hand - this will keep them busy, still, distracted. You could try DAP drops or the plug-in - "dog appeasing pheromone". There are herbal remedies that are supposed to be calming, but I've never tried them. GOOD luck and please keep us posted! Is it for LP or, what's going on w/ the hip?
