Shelby just had it done last week at 6 months of age. I really struggled with the timing too and did my best to weigh pros and cons. Part of me also wanted to wait a little longer...push my luck. I didn't want her to go into heat b/c I wanted to reduce risk of cancer as much as possible.

But waiting longer makes the teeth issue easier and smaller Yorkies get more time to grow a bit.

I am glad it is over with but the WORST part of the whole thing is still going on around here. Keep Shelby quiet....calm....no running...no jumping. yaright.
