Yeah, Hydrocodone works by blocking the sensory that makes him cough in the brain...Momo had respiratory infection/kennel cough for 3 months when he was a little pup & the doc prescribed him that...had no choice but to give him that twice a day. I was so stressed for those 3 LONG months, visited 5 different vets & finally what worked was upping the (3rd round) dose of antibiotics to 5ml from 1ml. But that made his tummy upset...
I hope Gucci gets better soon, I remember it being worse really late at night & early mornings. Leave the humidifier on for him & keep him nice & warm. Maybe some nice boiled chicken breast & little bit of rice (I leave some of the water that the chicken was boiled in). He'll be running around in no time. |
