I love my Chi and have asked many, many different hairdressers what they perfer all have said Chi. Sedu are also one of the best of course as well. But I would not count out the Chi becuase of one persons bad hair, as there are too many other factors that could of lead to her damage.

Chi's did have the shorting out problem, but many of those models were recalled and the newer ones seem to be much better.
I am a retired hairdresser and when Chi first came out I refused to use them as the had no temp control. The new ones are great they have temp control and really give the hair a great shine. I dont know what product is best for furbabies but I always tell my clients to use the Chi oil and other Chi products for the best results.
