If you don't know of anyone else around with a Yorkie to ask for a referral, you could request to see pictures of yorkies they have groomed. Then make sure the groomer you are getting is the one that did the groom in the picture (mistake I made once!). Check out the cleanliness of the facility. Make sure they request proof of vaccines.
I was waiting for a groomer at one place (they were going to allow me to stay) and the lady at the desk told a person yes, they could board their dog that was undergoing heartworm treatment. She got off the phone and I said, did you just tell someone they could bring a dog with heartworms here? She said, "well they are on the treatment. They just can't get excited." We left! Bad haircuts will grow out but disease, that's another story! |
