I have used the same groomer for 25 years so I've been fortunate that I don't have to make that decision on who can I trust with my baby. I do buy my pet supplies at our local Petco. This Petco has glass running across the front of the grooming area. When I go there I always glance over to see who is getting groomed. Does your Petco have the glass front? If so, I don't think they would tell you you can't stand there and watch. If you don't want people looking in you shouldn't put glass across the front.
