Many Chi's have had shorts due to a problem with the wiring, some were recalled so see if yours was one of them. Mine stopped working just after the one year warranty was up. My hairdresser where I bought it was nice enough to take it back and talk to her chi rep who gave me a new one free of charge even after the warranty was up. It is totally worth the try. |
I don't know if it was the wiring or the cord, but it most likely was. I had it for about 5 years and (at the end) it would get hot and the cool off, get hot then cool...it prob. was the cord come to think of it??? My daughter gave me the address and # to call to see if the cord could be replaced or to see if it could even be fixed. I just haven't followed up on it yet...but, for the amt. of money I spent on it, I'm still going to try.
