I've had mine occasionally go through periods where they have to go out in the night. Sometimes a little tummy upset can cause this. But if it is becoming a "habit" then you should try to stop it. Maybe he is lonely and just wants to see you again in the night. I tried "shushing" mine until I was sure they needed to go outside. Usually they gave up and went back to sleep.

He has been neutered, but he still stops and pees all over the place when we walk, and he still humps his stuffed bear all the time! This confuses me because our last dog never did these things after he was neutered.
