If you trust your vet and I sure he/she gave you a reason for waiting. Roxie was spayed at 6 1/2 months and came through it with wonderful results, but she is a little chunky monkey at 6lbs now at 9 1/2 months old. Back then she was just a tad under 5lbs. I know I read somewhere on here that having them spayed before their first heat lessen their chances of getting something pretty dreadful. Can you experts clarify that? Thanks
