Stacking is definitley essential and so is table practice (where someone pretends to be the judge and goes over your dog). They sell stackers (where the pegs are positioned so that the dog stands on them and learns the correct placement of their feet) but IMO you can teach them just as well on a standard grooming table. Can you ask your breeder for a copy of the YT Illustrated Standard? That would be very helpful to give you an idea of who the confirmation is supposed to be--this will help you when you are stacking your dog.
