Punkin is in heat now, she's the first dog I've ever had that was not spayed or neutered so, in spite of the fact that she's four years old, it's a new experience for me. She keeps herself very clean, we're on week two and the bleeding has become a little heavier. Enough so that I am keeping a diaper on her when she's not in her crate. Note, she does NOT like it at all! I need to make the decision soon whether or not I want to breed her one more time or simply have her spayed. Part of me says she's had enough litters of puppies (she was a puppy mill breeder), but she's so lonely and keeps looking for puppies. I feel torn about it.
