To me, it just sounds like he is a confident little guy. I think you've just done a good job with him and he knows his role in the household and doesn't feel like he has to be everyone's protector. I think he'll get more affectionate as he gets older. When we first got Tobie he wasn't big on giving kisses but that is starting to change. He gets more and more affectionate everyday
