Hi Jeanie! Long time no see - but it is nice to see ya!

Aww I have to disagree on this one. I think people should really start to rethink this breeding issue. I, too, had thought about breeding, when I first bought Mia, because I was in the mind frame that I would just love another one without paying the price I had paid for Mia - which was ALOT. In other words by breeding her I could get one for free. WRONG!

Then there was actually the thought that I could even make some money back to offset the costs of breeding - WRONG! Which you know first hand about. Breeding is not a money maker.

By coming here and learning the difference between toy breeds and large breeds (which I had always had) and the problems that can happen when breeding this breed - I realized I was no one to be breeding.

I also learned about "the standard" and diseases. I learned about puppymill dogs. I learned just how many dogs are in shelters and rescues and what happens to them. And now with the economy the way it is - there's just that many more with no homes.

In my opinion, much too much unnecessary breeding has been going on for much too long.

I hope this poster reads more about this and decides to talk to her BIL about neutering/spaying this puppy SOON!
