I would also contact your vet, tigger was doing something like that and the doctor after explaining to me in detail what could be going on said, (I'll give you the short version) that it could be an inward sneeze. to stop it you close your dogs mouth and make them breath through their nose, if that doesn't help you keep the mouth closed and give the a short breath of air through the nose. Yorkies are known for tracheal collapse. so I would have your vet look at him to see if his or her trachea is soft or hard. good luck sweetie.
