You know how dogs are supposed to be people's best friends

? And how a "true" dog should be always by your side and love you and miss you when you're gone

. How they should "protect" you from strangers when you walk them outside...
Well lately I've been starting to think that my lil boy cares only about himself

and doesn't pay much attention at the people in the house

I've been raised around dogs my whole life and Toby, our new family member is so different

. He doesn't like to cuddle, he doesn't get excited when he sees us comming back home, and when we take him out of his crate he runs straight out and about without giving kisses etc. My bf made a comment that "If I am a piece of chicken he'll eat me"

When I walk him outside and he sees people he'll run to them and be all happy.

Not that I want him to be a mean dog but at least don't be all crazy and not even wanna move from and I have to pull him in order to keep walking. Usually a dog is supposed to bark at strangers and be a "guard" but in our case we're far away from that. I've also noticed that when he's on the couch with us he'll fall asleep like on the corner far away from us. He'll only sleep close when I am on the computer and hell be on the floor by my feet

. Anyways, are all yorkies like that? I can list many dog breeds that my friends have and I've had like a Miniature Pincher and they are TRUE to their owners. My parents have a Miniature Pincher and she gets so excited when she sees them her heart is gonna almost explode from excitement. I am such a good mommy but my lil one is not so loving

so I wanted to share this and ask if anyone's Yorkie like that? I was thinking that can be just his age since he is still a baby but I know puppies that are his age and don't do that.
Thanks!!
