Default Opinions on dog walkers

We have been dealing with a separation anxiety/potty issue since we rescued our Grace 7 months ago.

It has been suggested a few times to us to get a dog walker to come at some point during the day and let her out/give her attention while we are gone. The DH didn't like the idea of having someone we didn't know in our home but family lives too far away and everyone else works. Neighbors are not really an option either since she has tried to nip at the ones we would trust into our home. There is a possiblity that I could get a friend's daughter to come a few times a week in the summer.

Does anyone have experience with using a dog walker while you are gone at work? What questions did you ask before letting them into your home? How much do you pay?
