Is he of quality worthy to pass on his genes to the next generation improving the Yorkie Breed? Has he been shown in the show rings and/or evaluated by a long time knowledgable breeder? Do you know his faults ( all dogs have them) and his strong points so if he is of quality to breed to a female, those faults are not going to be doubled up and hopefully you can produce a little of nice quality puppies.
Breeding just because you can, is never a good reason.
If you have a quality male that has proven himself in the ring to his quality, reputable breeders will be coming to you. Banging a pair of Yorkies together to produce puppies for the pet market is not a good reason to breed, IMHO.
