I know we are not out of the woods, and yes I know he did have one dose of pred yesterday but I was told it could take a couple days for it to work so I am very pleased right now.
As my vet recommended I look into an accupuncture session at a referral clinic yesterday, I asked my girlfriend about it yesterday night. She has had two sessions over the past five years with her Springer. One time he couldn't move his neck and he cried all night, the other they suspected a pinched disc. Both times he was fixed that night, with no meds necessary. I am going to make him an appt. for Monday but am also going to continue the 7 day course of pred.

Amanda i have heard GREAT things about acupuncture and dogs. We have a woman in town who specializes in it actually and she was telling me just wonderful success stories that she has seen. I think it is definitely worth a try! SO SO happy to hear that both you and Ryder are having a great morning. Keep those updates coming!
