i never gave treats for going potty, only lots of praise. and luckily, he's a boy so when he runs out he has to stop and sniff eeeeeeverything.
now, i make sure i tell him to stay and if he gets out i say firmly "Get in the House!" this is my coming home routine tho and he knows after i look at the carpet and put my stuff down he gets praise also.

i have only used treats to get him to sit.
