When I look at PETA's numbers, I do not count the owner's that get their lost dogs back in their KILL numbers, if you figure that PETA had 1896 animals in 2007 that were actually shelter animals and they KILLED 1815 that is 96% of the animals they took in and only found homes for 17 that is really poor service for the animals.
