I've had the germ of an idea of the folks at YorkieTalk getting together and forming a rescue. It seems that it's kind of done informally anyway. The 'Emma' thread got me to thinking about it more seriously. So many offered help to a girl that shouldn't have needed rescuing that I thought...hey, why not do it for dogs in serious need? YorkieTalk does, after all, have a nationwide reach. Could we not set up a fund and rescue some deserving dogs? They could then be adopted out and the funds from that could roll over to help another. Is this too crazy to be workable? There just seems to be so much good will here that it should be put to good use.
Honestly, I would love to see some sort of group formed here and would help in any way I could. |
a YT rescue has been brought up many times. its just such a hard thing to do properly. Afterall, we only know each other here through the web and, nothing against anyone here, but i personally don't trust people fully that i haven't met. too many things can go wrong.
