I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet Abbie. This was one of my biggest fears when neutering my puppy. I have seen it happen to so many of my friends when their dogs were spayed and neutered, and not just yorkies either. It's a common problem. But I just saw it happen to my friend's dog last week when her dog died during surgery for pyometra from NOT being spayed. So there are dangers both ways. There are risks anytime our babies are put under anesthetic. So scary...
