My yorkie Sophie is a little over a year old, got her when she was just 8wks old. We've always had rottweilers so this is our first little dog and I love her!! First question: she's basically been itching and scratching since we've had her, had her at the vets several times, combed her for fleas and whatnot, couldn't find anything wrong, so then we started on reviewing her diet..They put her on "science diet" food which she wouldn't eat at all, she's always been really picky about her food, finally after trying so many different kinds, we found royal canine yorkshire 28 which she loves as long as it's mixed with a little bit a "little cesar's beef flavor wet food. But as I was reading post on here earlier, the royal canine contains wheat that's not good for her, any suggestions? I do shampoo/condition her once a week and the vet said she's lacking luster in her coat, she goes to the groomers every 6wks as well.
They also weighed her a few weeks ago at 7.5 lbs and my vet said she would like it if Sophie DID NOT gain anymore weight. I think she looks very healthy. Could it be the little cesars causing her to itch?
