I would try to take her in before you give her anything. My vet always told me that is is dangerous to give a dog any kind of heartgard if they have not been tested first. I was giving my dog heartgard 6 months at a time but had to take him is every spring for testing. So i now give it to him all year round, just to be extra safe and so he dosnt have to be tested every spring.
